week seven 10/6-10/12

I can’t think of a good, pithy intro so please enjoy the worst clay joke ever told:

“I used to have a job cleaning kilns…but then I got fired!”

Heeheehee.

This week I finished building my candlesticks for Dirtbags, they are probably all dried out and ready for a bisque by now. Planning to bisque them on the 16th I think.

I’m planning to donate maybe half of them to DB, and have half under my name for the upcoming market. Same idea for the poppy cups. I’m going to keep some of the cups to sell at my job as well. :)

Speaking of my job, here’s a pistachio latte that I made!

Speaking of lattes, this week I decided to try again to give up coffee. I’m switching to teas in an attempt to reduce my caffeine intake. So far I’ve had three full days without coffee.

On Saturday night I went to the studio to work on my urn. I built up the rest of the structure of the lid and sculpted decorative elements. Next I need to add surface decoration details on the rest of the top and the lid, and then start working on the handles.
