week 13.5 and 14 11/24-12/7

I know this title is super goofy but that’s because Brian has us skipping blog posts for the week of Thanksgiving but I wanted to include that week because I did studio things! So get ready for two weeks worth of blog content in just one blog post- now that’s what I call a Black Friday deal!

On Monday I loaded up my measly- but precious- little amount of work to bisque, put her in Barack and fired that shit to a nice crispy cone 06.

Tuesday was my birthday! Yay me! I celebrated by helping Brian mix a glaze (gee thanks) and helping unload the wood kiln (hella cool and everything looked fabulicious), getting my nails done, eating and drinking yummy things and working on a pair of cutie teacups while watching a Rebel Wilson movie. Pretty good day :)

From Thursday to Sunday I was either on the road or at my family’s home back in the good ole Alabama. Occasionally I worked on the teacups, which made the drive home with me.

Monday I did absolutely squat diddley except go to work and also make a delicious white chicken enchilada casserole, and mumble about how it probably wouldn’t actually snow that night (I am a snow cynic).

Well, well, well, if it isn’t Snowy McGee here on Tuesday. Woke up to a beautiful crispy cold white landscape and some really slushy roads. Undeterred, I went to studio to get glazey crazy.

I am especially proud of my bead tree and my beads. You better believe I’ll be making more beads in teh future. I fear I have stumbled upon a new obsession and I feel that the beads are perfect for that rococo vibe I’m into. I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of it before.

I am so hoping that everything goes, in the immortal words of Bruno Mars, “smoother than a fresh jar of skippy” with the glaze firing. Crossing fingers as we speak!
