week one 8/25-8/31

Hey lovers welcome to my blog :)

This week was the first week of my post bacc!

I began working on setting up my studio a few weeks ago, and finally hung up by few little decorations on Tuesday. Little by little it will organically become my own space, it's not a process I rush.

I have been working in my sketchbook, processing ideas and looking for references. My sketchbook practice is essential to me feeling prepared to begin a new project or body of work.

This week has mostly been setting up and information seeking, getting familiar with the studio and thinking about what clay body to mix next week.

I wrote a brief semester plan proposal to discuss with my classmates - next week’s blog will include some hints and perhaps images of what I’m thinking. :)

My family (some of them) came up for the weekend and I got to show them around the city and the studio. :)
